Urdu driving lessons: how they work

Greater Philadelphia has a large, established Urdu-speaking community, and almost no driving school that teaches in the language. We've been the exception for over twenty years.

Ask for an Urdu-speaking instructor when you book and the whole lesson runs in Urdu. That matters most in the moments where precision counts — a parallel parking sequence, or a merge onto I-95 — where translating in your head is the last thing you want to be doing.

Who books Urdu lessons with us

  • New drivers who'd rather learn the technical detail in Urdu
  • Adults who drove in Pakistan and need PA rules and PennDOT test preparation
  • Mothers and older learners who want an unhurried, patient instructor
  • Families where one parent learns in Urdu and a teenager learns in English

Where we teach in Urdu

Urdu driving lessons in Philadelphia

Philadelphia is the ultimate confidence test: one-way grids, tight parallel parking, Roosevelt Boulevard, and the I-95 and Schuylkill ramps. Master driving here and you can drive anywhere. We pick you up from your door anywhere in Philadelphia and teach the whole lesson in Urdu, so you can concentrate on the road rather than on the translation. See our Philadelphia page →

Urdu driving lessons in Bensalem

Bensalem mixes fast highway driving on I-95 and Route 1 with busy retail traffic around Street Road and Neshaminy Mall — a lot for a new driver to juggle. We pick you up from your door anywhere in Bensalem and teach the whole lesson in Urdu, so you can concentrate on the road rather than on the translation. See our Bensalem page →

Urdu driving lessons in Upper Darby

Upper Darby's dense 69th Street area and the constant flow of West Chester Pike give you intensive practice with pedestrians, buses and busy intersections. We pick you up from your door anywhere in Upper Darby and teach the whole lesson in Urdu, so you can concentrate on the road rather than on the translation. See our Upper Darby page →

Urdu driving lessons in Norristown

Norristown's tight one-way grid downtown and the steady traffic on Germantown Pike make it ideal for practicing intersections, hills and lane changes. We pick you up from your door anywhere in Norristown and teach the whole lesson in Urdu, so you can concentrate on the road rather than on the translation. See our Norristown page →

We cover 100+ towns in total across Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Philadelphia and Berks counties, plus Mercer County NJ. See every area we serve →

What a lesson looks like

Your instructor picks you up from home, school or work. Lessons run in two-hour sessions in a modern dual-control car, so there's always a safety net while you learn. You get the same instructor each time — not a different face every lesson — and the debrief at the end is in Urdu too, with the specific things to work on before next time.

When you're ready, we prepare you on the actual route at the PennDOT center you're booked at, and you can take the test in our car. See the road test center guides →

Pricing

$75 per hour with a two-hour minimum, so a single lesson is $150. That includes the car, free door-to-door pickup, and an insurance-discount certificate on completion. There is no surcharge for teaching in Urdu. Multi-lesson packages lower the effective rate — see pricing and packages →

Urdu lessons · FAQ

Common questions

Can I book an Urdu-speaking instructor specifically? +

Yes — just say so when you call or message. We'll match you with an instructor who teaches in Urdu, and you'll keep the same instructor for every lesson.

I have a license from Pakistan. What do I need to do? +

Pennsylvania doesn't have a license-exchange agreement with Pakistan, so you'll need a PA learner's permit and then to pass the PennDOT road test. The driving part is usually straightforward for you; the work is in local rules and the specific test maneuvers. Two or three lessons is typical.

Is there an extra charge for lessons in Urdu? +

No. $75 per hour with a two-hour minimum, exactly the same as any other lesson, including free door-to-door pickup and the dual-control car.

Do you teach women drivers? +

Yes, and a large share of our students are women. Lessons are one-to-one, unhurried, and you can request a specific instructor. Many of our reviews are from women who had tried elsewhere and found it too rushed.

Which towns do you cover? +

Philadelphia, Bensalem, Upper Darby, Norristown and 100+ more across Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware and Berks counties.
