Bangla driving lessons in Philadelphia and across PA

Philadelphia has one of the largest Bangladeshi communities in the country — and almost no driving school that teaches in Bangla. We do, and have since 2003.

Bangla (Bengali) driving lessons: how they work

Northeast Philadelphia and the Upper Darby area are home to thousands of Bangla-speaking families. Getting a license is often the thing standing between a member of that family and a better job, a school run that doesn't depend on anyone else, or simply not being stuck.

Our instructors teach the full lesson in Bangla — road rules, maneuvers, and the honest debrief at the end. We'll still teach you the English terms for signs and test instructions, because that's what you'll hear from the examiner.

Who books Bangla (Bengali) lessons with us

  • First-time drivers who want the technical explanation in Bangla
  • Adults who drove in Bangladesh and need PA rules plus PennDOT test prep
  • Nervous learners who've found English-only lessons too fast
  • Families in Northeast Philadelphia and Upper Darby wanting a local, patient instructor

What a lesson looks like

Your instructor picks you up from home, school or work. Lessons run in two-hour sessions in a modern dual-control car, so there's always a safety net while you learn. You get the same instructor each time — not a different face every lesson — and the debrief at the end is in Bangla (Bengali) too, with the specific things to work on before next time.

When you're ready, we prepare you on the actual route at the PennDOT center you're booked at, and you can take the test in our car. See the road test center guides →

Common questions

Do you have Bangla-speaking instructors? +

Yes. Ask when you book and we'll pair you with one, and you'll have the same instructor for every lesson rather than a different face each time.

I drove in Bangladesh — do I need a full course? +

Usually not. You'll need a PA learner's permit and to pass the PennDOT road test. Most experienced drivers need two or three lessons focused on PA-specific rules and the exact maneuvers examiners score, especially parallel parking.

How much does it cost? +

$75 per hour, two-hour minimum, including free door-to-door pickup and the dual-control car. No extra charge for teaching in Bangla.

Do you cover Northeast Philadelphia? +

Yes — we cover Philadelphia city including the Northeast, plus Upper Darby, Bensalem, Norristown and 100+ other towns. Free pickup from your door.

Can I take the road test in your car? +

Yes. Our dual-control car meets every PennDOT requirement, and it's the car you've trained in — which makes test day noticeably less stressful.
