Behind-the-wheel driver education for schools and youth programs
Many Pennsylvania schools teach the classroom theory but have no way to deliver the behind-the-wheel hours. That's the part we've done since 2003 — and we can do it as a block booking for your students.
Schools & Youth Programs: how it works
Pennsylvania's graduated licensing system requires 65 hours of supervised practice before an under-18 can take the road test, including 10 hours at night and 5 in poor weather. For a lot of students, that requirement is the barrier — not the driving. Families without a second car, without a licensed adult with free daytime hours, or without English as a first language get stuck at exactly this step.
We work with families in those situations every week. If your school, district, after-school program or community organization wants a practical route to get students through the behind-the-wheel portion, we can structure it as a block booking with a single point of contact rather than dozens of separate parent bookings.
What we can provide
- Behind-the-wheel instruction from PennDOT-certified instructors in modern dual-control cars.
- Door-to-door pickup, so students without transport aren't excluded from the program.
- Instruction in English, Hindi, Urdu, Bangla or Arabic — which matters in districts with a large immigrant intake.
- Road-test preparation on the actual route at the PennDOT center your students will test at.
- The option for students to take the PennDOT road test in our dual-control car.
- An insurance-discount certificate on completion, which families feel immediately.
Why the multilingual part matters for districts
Across Philadelphia, Upper Darby, Norristown and Bensalem, a significant share of students come from Hindi-, Urdu-, Bangla- and Arabic-speaking homes. Where the parent can't supervise practice hours confidently in English, the student falls behind their classmates on something that has nothing to do with ability.
We teach in all five languages, so a program run through us reaches those students rather than filtering them out.
How a block booking works
You tell us the number of students and the hours per student; we schedule around your timetable and invoice as one account rather than chasing individual families. Rates start from our standard $75 per hour with a two-hour minimum session, with pricing reviewed for larger groups.
We're a local, independent school — you'll deal with the same people every time, not a call center.
Common questions
Do you provide the classroom theory portion as well? +
Our core service is behind-the-wheel instruction. We also offer a 6-hour driver education option — talk to us about what your program needs and we'll be straight with you about what we can and can't deliver.
Can students take the road test with you? +
Yes. Students can take the PennDOT road test in our dual-control car after training in it, which removes the common problem of a family car that fails the pre-test vehicle check.
Which areas can you serve? +
Greater Philadelphia — Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Philadelphia and Berks counties, plus Mercer County NJ. We provide door-to-door pickup throughout.
What does it cost? +
Our standard rate is $75 per hour with a two-hour minimum. For a block booking across a group of students, call us on (215) 740-2841 and we'll quote against the actual numbers.
How do we start a conversation? +
Call (215) 740-2841 or message us. We'll ask about student numbers, hours, languages needed and your timetable, and come back with a written proposal.
